Hi, I’m MaryAlice Turletes, founder of BeautyVoyage — a peer-to-peer mentorship marketplace built for Beauty Professionals.

Before I ever got into tech, pitched to investors, or joined Techstars, I was a hairstylist and makeup artist with a dream. A creative. A non-technical founder who barely used email — no joke.

Stepping into the tech world meant doing everything differently. It was a huge leap into the unknown. The learning curve was steep, and so were the emotional hurdles: imposter syndrome, rejection, burnout, and that persistent whisper of “Who am I to do this?” Yep, the good ol’… “Am I enough?”

That’s where EFT became a serious practice for me.

What the heck is this EFT thing?
EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique also known as tapping, became one of my go-to tools to regulate my nervous system, stay grounded, and keep going when things got hard — because they certainly did.

And yet, startups founded by women deliver 2x more revenue per dollar invested.

So just another reminder, we are underfunded — NOT under qualified.
